Wipe away any mud or moisture off of your stick after each use. |

Use an epoxy to cover any scratches or chips on both wooden and composite sticks. The epoxy can be found in any hardware store. |

Tape your stick with athletic type tape. This can protect your stick from chipping. |

Carry your stick in a protective bag. |

During the hot and humid summer months, do not leave your stick in a car, especially in the trunk. Wooden sticks are especially affected by dehydration. |

Use any type of oil which can adversely affect the reinforcement materials. |
